About

I’m Joshua. I write emails from a condo in Chiang Mai.

For creators, during the week. For you, every week in The Resignation Letter.

After high school, I skipped college. Everyone had a plan for me, and none of them felt like mine.

So I started freelancing instead, mostly by sending a lot of Twitter DMs to people who needed help with their emails. In 2023 I left for Asia with a business that wasn’t really ready to support me. I spent more time exploring than working, almost ran out of money, and learned a lot very quickly.

Eventually I picked Chiang Mai as a home base. I rent a condo, ride a motorbike, take Thai lessons, and go to Muay Thai classes that humble me every single time.

The Resignation Letter is where I write about all of it: what this life costs, what goes wrong, and why I’m still here. It’s for people in their 20s and 30s who feel like the traditional path isn’t for them.

If that sounds like you, I’d love to have you along.
